Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus OShaughnessy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OShaughnessy has chosen Black Friday Rule by Flogging Molly as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Seamus OShaughnessy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots in for a double leg but OShaughnessy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rua looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rua swats away the attempt to clinch by OShaughnessy.
Rua gets a takedown into half guard.
Rua blocks the strikes from OShaughnessy.
OShaughnessy is looking for a sweep. Rua is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
OShaughnessy has one foot on Rua's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
OShaughnessy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
OShaughnessy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rua knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OShaughnessy is working for a kimura but Rua is defending it quite comfortably.

OShaughnessy seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

OShaughnessy is nestled in close to Rua, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
OShaughnessy winds up and cracks Rua with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
OShaughnessy seems to be working for a kimura but Rua defends the submission attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. OShaughnessy lands a nice short elbow.

OShaughnessy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rua's face.
