Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keven Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Handerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keven Houston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gil Handerson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Handerson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Houston as he jumps to the side.
As Handerson tries to get set, Houston tries to push him back and clinch up but Handerson manages to avoid the attempt.
A lazy left from Handerson finds it's target.
Handerson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Houston in his tracks.
It looks like Keven Houston has been cut.
Handerson tries to keep at a distance but Houston has taken the fight into the clinch.
Houston pulls guard successfully.
Houston throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Handerson is looking to work some ground and pound but Houston has wrist control.
Handerson is fighting to break Houston's control of his arms but Houston is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Houston keeping moving, preventing Handerson from controlling successfully.
Houston seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Handerson preventing the sweep.
Houston has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Handerson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Houston pulls Handerson in to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Handerson with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Houston gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Houston tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Handerson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Houston buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Houston!! Houston is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Handerson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gil Handerson!
