PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Tanlagu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Bain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tanlagu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Where The Hood At. David Tanlagu looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bain blocks a head kick by Tanlagu.
Tanlagu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Good leg kick by Tanlagu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bain works over Tanlagu's head and body with a nice combination.
Bain shoots in looking for a takedown. Tanlagu tries to sprawl out of it but Bain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tanlagu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bain scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bain lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tanlagu down.
Bain lands a nice forearm strike.
Bain is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tanlagu's shoulder. That is not cool.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bain stands up.
Bain misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bain throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tanlagu tries to clinch up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bain.
Bain misses with a hook.
Bain lands a leg kick that knocks Tanlagu off balance momentarily.
Bain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bain lands in his opponent's guard.

Tanlagu is rocked!
Tanlagu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bain on the ground.
Bain lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Oh Tanlagu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bain keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tanlagu's head.

Bain stands and steps away. Tanlagu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tanlagu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Bain dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Tanlagu has had enough and taps out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Adam Bain!
David Tanlagu spoke after the fight, saying 'Don't Worry Bro, Im Gonna Win Bro'.
