Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Galvao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelvin Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tatum lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Galvao has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Galvao and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Galvao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tatum stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tatum wants it to stay on the feet.
Galvao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tatum.

Galvao closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tatum quickly recovers to half guard.

Galvao is looking for a kimura but Tatum is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Galvao to get the leverage.
Galvao works his foot free and advances to mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Galvao there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tatum gets back to half guard.

Galvao is trying to work for a kimura but Tatum is defending well.
Galvao is trying to control. Tatum wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Galvao wants to work for an arm triangle but Tatum is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Galvao is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tatum wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Galvao seems to be looking for submissions.
Galvao is thwarting Tatum's attempts to control the position.
Galvao trying to advance position but Tatum counters by regaining guard.
Galvao throws a big right hand that misses.
Galvao working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Galvao loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've been hearing good reports from Galvao's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Galvao is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tatum is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tatum has escaped and now he's on top!


Galvao has his feet on Tatum's thighs here. He's pushed Tatum off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Tatum screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
