Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Maki Pulu and Bobby Mamba. Pulu comes to the cage accompanied by Alive. Mamba has chosen Here Comes The Hotstepper as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Maki Pulu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Bobby Mamba!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Pulu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mamba manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Pulu (2) vs (0) Mamba
Pulu wants to pass the guard but Mamba is keeping the position.
Pulu postures up.
Pulu tries to free his leg and advance position but Mamba is retaining full guard.
Pulu pushes down on Mamba's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Mamba tries to roll over but Pulu keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mamba wants to control but Pulu is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pulu is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Pulu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mamba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mamba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mamba controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Pulu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pulu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mamba had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pulu defends it easily.

Pulu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mamba's guard.

Mamba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pulu is thwarting Mamba's attempts to control the position.
Pulu tries to pass to full mount but Mamba defends it.
Pulu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mamba defends it well.
Mamba is not content to let Pulu control the position.
Mamba has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Cave Fighting Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mamba is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Pulu looking for a guillotine here but Mamba defends easily.
Mamba has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pulu to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mamba is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pulu pulls down on the head and he's put Mamba to sleep! This one is all over!
