The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivers gets caught flat footed, as Bigs shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bigs postures up and lands a big shot to Rivers's brow.

Rivers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bigs chips away with some ground and pound.
Rivers is trying to control the position but Bigs postures up.
Bigs is working Rivers over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bigs stands and throws Rivers's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bigs looks up at the clock and then as Rivers takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bigs smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bigs tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bigs has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bigs is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rivers has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bigs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rivers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rivers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bigs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rivers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bigs wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
