The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gentry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Does sprawls well. Does wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gentry gets slowly back to his feet.
Does throws a right hand that Gentry ducks under and follows up with a left that Gentry also avoids with ease.
Does fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gentry doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Does counters with a nice body shot.
Gentry tries a head kick but it misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gentry is trying to maintain a safe position but Does gets an underhook and turns Gentry into the cage.

Still in half guard, Does seems content to control.
Does stops Gentry from getting back to his feet.
Gentry tries to kick Does off in order to stand up. Does Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Does tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Does has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Does looking to control but instead Gentry has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Does looks for a takedown but Gentry sprawls well.
Gentry tries to counter by clinching up but Does breaks away and moves out of range.

Does is trying to push Gentry away but Gentry has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gentry has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Does after a bit of a struggle.
Does looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Gentry tries to pull guard but Does won't allow it.
Does goes for a takedown attempt but Gentry pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Does changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gentry tries to avoid it but Does manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gentry to the ground. Gentry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jaco Gentry will probably get the nod.

Does takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Gentry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Does's waist but Does gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gentry off to one side.

Does is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gentry presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Does tries to circle away but Gentry has him pinned against the cage.
Does with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Does fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jaco Gentry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Does.

Gentry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Does showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gentry.

Gentry shoots for a double leg takedown but Does sprawls well. He's pushed Gentry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Does closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Does wants to take the fight to the mat but Gentry manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Does jumps guard.
Does looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Gentry tries to free his leg and advance position but Does is retaining full guard.
Does tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Roger Does has got the better of the ground game so far.

Does is looking for a triangle here but Gentry uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Does is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Does's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Does manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gentry's best efforts.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Does controlling the position for now.
Gentry with the ground and pound but Does uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Does is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Does looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Roger Does bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
