The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Paul looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Paul moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Paul. Paul circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Paul takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Paul, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paul with the counter takedown but Jones avoids it easily.
Paul tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones takes a swing at Paul's ribcage but misses.
Nice body punch from Jones.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Paul. Paul gets slowly back to his feet.
Jasper Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lance Paul.

Jones misses with a body shot.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Paul sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Paul is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Jones just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Paul has gone limp and this one is over!
