Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Kalifa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalifa throws a right and a left that Bowman avoids nicely.
Bowman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice body punch from Bowman.
Bowman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kalifa momentarily.
Kalifa misses with a combination
and Bowman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kalifa tries to clinch up but Bowman circles away and keeps his distance.
Kalifa throws an off balance right hand
and Bowman counters with a stiff right hand.
Bowman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kalifa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kalifa throws a body punch but Bowman moves out of range.
It seemed like Bowman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Bowman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bowman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bowman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kalifa doesn't seem bothered though.
Bowman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bowman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kalifas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bowman thuds his right hand into Kalifa's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Bowman counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bowman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kalifa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bowman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bowman is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kalifa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Kalifa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bowman lands with a hook. Kalifa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jon Kalifa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalifa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bowman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kalifa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kalifa there as he acknowledges the shot.

Kalifa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Kalifa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kalifa is rocked!
Bowman throws an overhand right that drops Kalifa like a sack of potatoes! Bowman dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
