Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Galdra Kiddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaun-Paul Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jaun-Paul Fredrickson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Galdra Kiddi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrickson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kiddi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Fredrickson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kiddi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kiddi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Fredrickson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kiddi.
Kiddi swings for the body but Fredrickson moves out of range.
Fredrickson throws a looping overhand right but Kiddi ducks down to avoid it.
Fredrickson tries for a takedown but Kiddi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fredrickson ducks right into an uppercut from Kiddi.
Fredrickson moves out of range as Kiddi strikes.
Fredrickson misses with a wild combination.

Fredrickson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kiddi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fredrickson working over Kiddi with some ground and pound. Kiddi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kiddi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fredrickson.

Kiddi wants to get back to full guard.
Fredrickson misses with a head shot. Kiddi uses the momentum to regain guard.
Kiddi wants to sweep here but Fredrickson controlling him for the moment.
Fredrickson throws a strike but Kiddi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kiddi wants to control from the top but Fredrickson keeps moving.
Fredrickson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kiddi wants to pass the guard but Fredrickson is keeping the position.

Kiddi won't allow Fredrickson to sweep him here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kiddi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fredrickson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Jaun-Paul Fredrickson has been cut.
Kiddi lands with a nice body punch.
Kiddi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kiddi wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fredrickson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kiddi throws a nice outside leg kick.

Kiddi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiddi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fredrickson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fredrickson connects with a right hand. Kiddi shakes it off.
Fredrickson tries to clinch but Kiddi moves out of range.
Fredrickson moves out of range as Kiddi throws a body kick.
Kiddi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kiddi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fredrickson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kiddi.
Fredrickson throws out a loose jab but Kiddi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kiddi misses with a kick to the body.
Kiddi connects with a body shot.
Fredrickson fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fredrickson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kiddi wants to slow Fredrickson down by chopping away at his legs.
Fredrickson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fredrickson lands with a nice body punch.

Fredrickson shoots in but no luck this time.

Good body shot from Kiddi.
Fredrickson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Fredrickson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kiddi backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fredrickson.
Fredrickson fails to pull guard.
Galdra Kiddi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaun-Paul Fredrickson.

Kiddi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fredricksons head.
Fredrickson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kiddi wants to stall.
Kiddi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fredrickson backwards.
Kiddi is looking for a takedown.

Fredrickson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fredrickson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kiddi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fredrickson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kiddi cracks Fredrickson with a good jab.
Fredrickson works Kiddi's body with a nice hook.
Nice takedown defense from Kiddi. No joy for Fredrickson on that attempt.
Kiddi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fredrickson under the eye.
Kiddi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Fredrickson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kiddi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kiddi lands with a left to the head.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
I was talking to Kiddi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kiddi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fredrickson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kiddi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fredrickson will feel that in the morning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kiddi shoots in for a double leg but Fredrickson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kiddi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fredrickson can do to turn this around?

Kiddi jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kiddi cracks Fredrickson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fredrickson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kiddi.
Fredrickson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A punch lands to the side of Kiddi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kiddi connects with a looping right hand.
Kiddi throws a lazy right hand but Fredrickson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fredrickson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kiddi to the mat! Kiddi manages to get full guard.

A very excited looking Galdra Kiddi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
