Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benny Perez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campos is staying active underneath Perez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Perez uses his free foot to push down on Campos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Campos.

Campos defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Perez.
Campos takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Perez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Perez has hold of Campos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Campos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Perez swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Campos is now in Perez's guard. A big mistake from Perez there, giving up the dominant position!

Campos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well Perez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
