Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Carrillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milan Slovenija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Carrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Milan Slovenija!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slovenija gets a double leg takedown into Carrillo's guard.
Slovenija wants to control from the top but Carrillo keeps moving.
Carrillo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slovenija is one step ahead there.

Carrillo has his foot on Slovenija's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slovenija works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slovenija shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Carrillo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carrillo lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That was a close round but I would say that Angelo Carrillo will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Carrillo rushes Slovenija and presses him up against the cage.
Carrillo gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Carrillo on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Slovenija breaks the clinch.
Carrillo blocks the body kick.
That kick from Slovenija tenderised Carrillo's leg. Carrillo is trying to keep his angry face on.

Slovenija fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carrillo to the ground. Slovenija is now in Carrillo's guard.

Carrillo has his feet on Slovenija's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Milan Slovenija seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carrillo darts in and clinches Slovenija up against the cage.
Carrillo throws an elbow but it misses.

Carrillo breaks the clinch.

Carrillo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Slovenija is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Carrillo to the mat. Carrillo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Carrillo manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Carrillo breaks the clinch.

Slovenija gets the takedown into side control.

Carrillo throws Slovenija to one side and escapes!
Slovenija is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slovenija has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carrillo is working away from the top position though.
Carrillo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slovenija can do to turn this around?

Milan Slovenija comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Carrillo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
