PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kai Trie Tadeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tadeo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tadeo throws a body shot but no joy.
Tadeo loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch.
A big left from Tadeo misses.
Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Tadeo.
Tadeo throws a poor cross that misses
and Diaz counters with a three punch combo that has Tadeo backing up. Tadeo nods at Diaz to acknowledge the strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tadeo, as that shot connected.
Diaz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Diaz moves out of range of the strikes.
Tadeo throws a looping overhand right but Diaz ducks down to avoid it.
A slow jab from Tadeo misses its intended target.
Diaz unleashes a big counter combination but Tadeo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tadeo lands with a hook. Diaz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Tadeo throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz throws a counter combo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tadeo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tadeo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tadeo misses with a hook.
A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Diaz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tadeo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Tadeo sets himself, and Diaz steps forward looking for the clinch! Tadeo avoids it this time.
Tadeo throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz tries to counter by closing the distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tadeo throws a sloppy body shot
and Diaz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tadeo lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head.
Diaz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tadeo.
Kai Trie Tadeo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tadeo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Tadeo.
A left lands for Tadeo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tadeo cracks Diaz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Diaz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tadeo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Diaz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
