The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redman throws a series of punches but Emelianenko avoids them all with ease.
Emelianenko feinted with a counter takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Redman. Those never looked like landing.
Redman's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Redman duly obliges.

Redman drops Emelianenko with a beautiful combination! Emelianenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Redman is looking for the KO!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Emelianenko.

Redman drives through and clinches with Emelianenko against the cage.
Emelianenko tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Redman smiles and moves away.
Emelianenko seems to have got his legs back now.
Bangel Redman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Emelianenko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Redman on his heels. He'll look to pass Redman's guard now, I'm sure.
