Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Blitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Llama Whittaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Blitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Llama Whittaker!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blitz gets tackled into the cage by Whittaker. Whittaker maintains the clinch.

Whittaker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Whittaker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Blitz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Whittaker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blitz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Whittaker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whittaker wants to sweep here but Blitz controlling him for the moment.
Blitz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Blitz wants to get up but he can't break Whittaker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Blitz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whittaker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blitz has managed to get both his arms back between Whittaker's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blitz tries to clinch up but Whittaker circles away and keeps his distance.
Whittaker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Whittaker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Whittaker moves in looking to clinch but Blitz pushes him off.
Whittaker has his takedown stuffed

and Blitz counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Blitz looking to finish!


Whittaker is rocked!
Blitz wants to stand but Whittaker is controlling his posture from full guard.
Whittaker is still in real trouble! Can Blitz finish him?
Blitz content to stall in guard here.

Whittaker seems to have recovered his senses.
Whittaker is trying to keep Blitz in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Whittaker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blitz defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Blitz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Blitz lands a big head kick that sends Whittaker to the canvas! Blitz follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Blitz!
John Blitz really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Mohito Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
