Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Anderson closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Anderson creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Diaz's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Diaz drops to his knees and Anderson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A relieved looking Craig Anderson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
