PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brochan Darrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boros Monet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monet has chosen Downstait - Open Your Eyes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Boros Monet told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brochan Darrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boros Monet!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monet chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Darrow can pounce on him.
Darrow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Darrow fails to land the takedown.
Monet throws a body punch but Darrow moves out of range.
Monet lands a two punch combo.
Monet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Monet clobbers Darrow with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Darrow is rocked!
Monet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Darrow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monet but Monet pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Monet lands a glancing blow to the side of Darrow's head.
Oh Darrow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Darrow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Monet pounces like a tiger and cracks Darrow with a vicious hook! Darrow is down but not out! Monet follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Boros Monet!
In his post fight interview, Boros Monet started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
