PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Neto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiago Neto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Declan Newell!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Newell pinned against the cage. Newell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Neto closes the distance and clinches up with Newell, looking for a takedown. Neto pushes Newell against the cage but Newell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Neto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Newell tries to avoid it but Neto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Newell to the ground. Newell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tiago Neto. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tiago Neto will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Declan Newell.
Well Newell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
