Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Vladislav Yurevich and Diego Rubio. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Vladislav Yurevich! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Diego Rubio!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Yurevich clinches with his opponent.
Rubio is pressed up against the cage. Yurevich has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rubio down to the mat. Rubio avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Yurevich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rubio is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rubio is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rubio is trying to pull guard but Yurevich has him pressed against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yurevich has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Yurevich tries to move to mount but Rubio blocks the move with his legs.
Rubio is looking for a sweep.
Yurevich slows the pace down.
Yurevich's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Yurevich keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Yurevich just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Yurevich has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Rubio's body.

Yurevich looking to break Rubio's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rubio remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Yurevich will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
You can see the frustration on Rubio's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Yurevich controlling the position well here. Rubio rolled but Yurevich kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Yurevich seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Rubio is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Yurevich gets his way!
