Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norman Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Grenier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grenier has chosen Paparazzi as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grenier closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grenier lands in his opponent's guard.
Grenier throws a big elbow that misses.
Grenier looking to sit in guard and control but Davenport gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Grenier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Grenier has his feet on Davenport's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Davenport will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Grenier throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Grenier postures up in Davenport's guard and throws a big left but Davenport blocks it.

Grenier is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Grenier looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Davenport can't hide his disappointment, as Grenier celebrates the victory.
