Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Timal Laffiager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yang Ming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yang Ming!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laffiager looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ming displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laffiager throws out the jab.
Ming wants to counter with a clinch but Laffiager pushes him away.

Ming gets a clinch.
Laffiager tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ming is trying to stall.
Ming just leaning against Laffiager , taking a breather.
Laffiager works on Ming's body with a couple of short punches.
Ming wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ming looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Laffiager will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ming up against the ropes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ming throws an elbow but it misses.
Ming is trying to break the clinch but Laffiager has him pressed against the ropes.
Laffiager throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Laffiager keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ming's efforts to push away.

Laffiager can't find room to land a body shot as Ming controls the action.

Laffiager lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ming.
Ming tries to break the clinch but Laffiager is controlling the position.
Laffiager misses with a hook from the clinch.

Laffiager works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ming struggles to land a body shot inside as Laffiager controls his hands.
Laffiager is trying to stall.
Ming stalling in the clinch but Laffiager improves position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Laffiager walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Laffiager jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ming falls off balance throwing a combination
and Laffiager counters with a slapping leg kick.
Ming thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ming doesn't manage to clinch there - Laffiager circles away.
Ming will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A little feinted left hand from Laffiager on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Ming. Those never looked like landing.
Laffiager is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ming can do to turn this around?
The fighters circling - Laffiager throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ming lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Ming thuds his shin into the meat of Laffiager 's side.
Ming throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

As Ming looks to move away, Laffiager throws a big counter combo but Ming just gets out of the way.

and Ming counters with a lovely straight right hand!

As Ming looks to move away, Laffiager throws a big counter combo but Ming just gets out of the way.

Laffiager throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ming misses with a series of wild punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Laffiager moves forwards but Ming connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A combination from Ming does no damage.
Ming throws a leg kick which misses Laffiager 's front leg but catches the back leg as Laffiager tries to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yang Ming showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Laffiager counters with a right, a left and a big uppercut that drops Ming to the mat! Laffiager runs to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. 3,4,5,6 and Ming is back to his feet. He seems ready to continue - the ref agrees so we're back at it!

Laffiager is pushing Ming up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Laffiager has Ming pressed against the ropes, preventing Ming from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Laffiager tries to work over Ming's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
