Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado's entrance music is Que safoda. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luis Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucio Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie avoids the body shot from Machado.
Gracie wants to counter the offense by Machado and move into the clinch position.
Machado getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Gracie gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gracie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Machado uses from the top position.
Machado postures up.
Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machado defends well.
Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Machado defends it easily.
Machado trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Machado defends easily.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Machado wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machado wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Machado avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Machado throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Machado's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Lucio Gracie!
