Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between tiny iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and darren nightmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
iron throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
nightmare fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
nightmare tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but iron swivels and escapes.
A slapping leg kick lands for iron.

iron clinches.
Nice elbow from iron.

iron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

iron controls nightmare momentarily but nightmare frees himself.

nightmare drops back looking for a leg! iron is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and iron manages to kick nightmare off! nightmare jumps back into iron's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

iron clinches up with nightmare and pushes him back against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
nightmare changes levels and goes for a takedown here. iron fights it off and pushes away nicely.
No luck for nightmare with that takedown attempt.
iron throws a head kick that nightmare semi-blocks.
A left and a right from iron both land. Nice combination.

iron clinches.
iron lands with a short head shot on the inside.

iron's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

nightmare avoids a punch combination nicely.
iron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
nightmare's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
iron lands an elbow that stopped nightmare in his tracks for a moment.

iron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
iron lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as nightmare backs up against the cage.
nightmare shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
iron works over nightmare's head and body with a nice combination.

nightmare tries to keep at a distance but iron has taken the fight into the clinch.
nightmare tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. iron smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

iron throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
iron misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
iron lands a high kick!
nightmare throws a head kick that misses.
nightmare slips a jab and a cross from iron.
iron swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

nightmare shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. nightmare showed some decent athleticism there.
nightmare uses his free foot to push down on iron's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for iron.

nightmare looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
iron wants to control but nightmare is having none of it.

iron really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

nightmare goes for an armbar but iron turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from iron.

nightmare is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

nightmare had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. iron is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. nightmare Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take iron's back instead.
iron knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for nightmare on the ground.
nightmare is not going to allow iron to sit and survive in this position.
iron tries to break free.

nightmare working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. iron is doing well to defend. nightmare seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! iron is forced to tap and this one is over!
