The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Marcus Vinicius Ii has been cut.
Vinicius Ii tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and Vinicius Ii ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Smith feints a jab promting Vinicius Ii to slip. Smith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vinicius Ii slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Vinicius Ii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Smith throws a head kick but Vinicius Ii moves out of range.
Vinicius Ii with the counter takedown but Smith avoids it easily.

Vinicius Ii shoots in but no luck this time.

Vinicius Ii is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Smith to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Smith shrugs it off.

Vinicius Ii is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Vinicius Ii moves to take his opponent's back.

Vinicius Ii is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Smith won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Vinicius Ii off his unconscious opponent!
