PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturas DidisisM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wallace might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to BraveHeart. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wallace.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables DidisisM to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
DidisisM connects with a couple of short punches.
DidisisM slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
DidisisM postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

DidisisM has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wallace has his foot on DidisisM's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DidisisM works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DidisisM's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wallace is trying to maintain the position but DidisisM is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

DidisisM has closed the distance and engaged Wallace in a clinch.

DidisisM jumps guard and drags Wallace to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Wallace would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
DidisisM controlling the position.

Wallace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

DidisisM is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wallace frees his head nicely. Oh but DidisisM has switched to an armbar! Wallace is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
