Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Art Acevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carran Pettigrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettigrew comes into a darkened arena with his song building. La Marseillaise -Song of France kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Carran Pettigrew will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carran Pettigrew!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acevedo shoots in and bounces Pettigrew off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pettigrew is wriggling around but Acevedo manages to pass to half guard.
Pettigrew looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Acevedo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acevedo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pettigrew doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Acevedo.
Acevedo seems to be working for a kimura but Pettigrew defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pettigrew has a hand on Acevedo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Acevedo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Acevedo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Acevedo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Acevedo extends the arm and Pettigrew is forced to tap!
