Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lavern Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Ryno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Ryno will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryno rushes Koch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Koch tries to keep at a distance but Ryno has taken the fight into the clinch.
Koch is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ryno gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Koch gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Ryno has hold of one of Koch's legs. Koch is fighting the takedown attempt but Ryno gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Koch counters with a head kick. That will keep Ryno thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Koch digs a right hand underneath Ryno's ribcage. Ryno let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Koch drags the fight down to the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Koch holds on and takes a little breather.

Ryno slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ryno wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Koch, who protects the arm well.
Koch is looking for a sweep.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lavern Koch.
I think Ryno has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Matt Ryno decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
