The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bowman circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Bowman on that attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Johnson misses its target.
Johnson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bowman throws a sloppy body shot
and Johnson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bowman thinking.
Johnson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Tom Bowman has been cut.
Johnson throws a low kick but Bowman avoids it.
Tom Bowman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bowman throws a leg kick that is checked
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.

Bowman is rocked!
Johnson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Bowman flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bowman is out cold! Johnson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
