The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermeer takes a swing at Jung's ribcage but misses.
Jung throws out a loose jab but Vermeer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jung misses with a looping left.
Jung takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Vermeer rushes Jung and presses him up against the cage.
Vermeer gets underhooks to prevent Jung's takedown attempt.
Vermeer lands a left hand.
Jung tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jung is looking to take this one to the mat.
Alexander Vermeer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hop Sing Jung.
Jung has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vermeer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vermeer throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Jung seems to have recovered his senses.
Jung drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vermeer gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Vermeer drops Jung onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jung is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
