Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Coy Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lezer Bassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grant tries to keep at a distance but Bassi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bassi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bassi misses with a knee to the head.
Bassi working Grant over with knees to the body.
Bassi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Bassi lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Coy Grant has been cut.
Grant tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bassi smiles and moves away.

Bassi moves into the clinch.
Grant has had enough of the clinch but Bassi keeps him there for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grant tries for a takedown. No joy.
Grant on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bassi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Grant blocks it with crossed arms.
Bassi tries to land knees in the clinch but Grant avoids the damage to the body.
Bassi with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Bassi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Grant is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bassi to the mat. Bassi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Bassi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grant is controlling him.

Bassi is working an open guard so Grant takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bassi forces Grant back against the cage and clinches.
Grant could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bassi connects with a knee to the head.
Bassi scores with a knee to the head.
Bassi lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Grant breaks the clinch.

Bassi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grant, pushing him back against the cage.

Bassi tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Grant has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bassi is trying to keep an underhook but Grant manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Grant stops Bassi from getting back to his feet.

Grant is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Grant seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Bassi has recovered full guard.
Bassi wants to stand but Grant is controlling the position.
Bassi looks winded!

Grant is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bassi wants to stand up but Grant is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bassi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grant shoots for a takedown but Bassi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Coy Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grant takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bassi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grant, pushing him back against the cage.

Grant has picked Bassi up - he's going for a ride! Grant dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Grant is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grant is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bassi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Grant.
Bassi tries to kick Grant off but Grant keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Grant is working for a submission of some sort.
Bassi is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lezer Bassi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Coy Grant's cut.
That's time! Grant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bassi forces Grant back against the cage and clinches.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bassi obliges.

Bassi lands a nice uppercut.
Bassi lands a hook that snaps the head of Grant backwards.
Bassi is leaning against Grant and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Bassi lands a good knee to the midsection. Grant won't want to take too many of those.

Bassi creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Grant's defenses.

Grant is rocked!
Bassi lands a big knee! That's hurt Grant! Oh, he's all over the place! Bassi lands another knee that sends Grant to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
