PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vince Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saul Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vince Moses!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saul Khan!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moses stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Khan.
Khan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Moses shoots in and bounces Khan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Moses sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Moses trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Moses's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Khan wants to stand and escape but Moses is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moses sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moses throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Moses postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Moses in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Moses is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Moses closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Khan did well to prevent Moses getting side control.
Khan tries to kick Moses off in order to stand up. Moses Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Khan trying to remain calm as Moses controls from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moses lands a few punches from side control.
Moses throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Moses is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Khan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Moses is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Khan's shoulder. That is not cool.

Moses has hold of Khan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Khan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Moses cranks the arm and Khan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Khan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Vince Moses!
