The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gou throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taran.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taran is defended easily by Gou.

Gou drops Taran with a beautiful combination! Taran stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gou is looking for the KO!

It looks like Alexander Taran has been cut.
Gou cracks a nice hook into Taran's ribs.

Taran closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gou quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gou tries to get to full guard but Taran has control of the leg.

Taran connects with a couple of short punches.

Gou controls Taran momentarily but Taran frees himself.

Gou can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Taran controls the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taran stands and steps away. Gou gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Taran moves forwards but Gou connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Taran blocks a jab.
Taran takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Gou lands a big right hand that sends Taran crashing to the mat! Gou stays standing though and waves Taran back to his feet!

Taran is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crack! Gou connects with the perfect overhand right and Taran falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Gou!
