Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lu Kuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Zertiis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Desmond Zertiis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lu Kuan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Zertiis!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zertiis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kuan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kuan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zertiis goes for a double leg but Kuan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kuan continues to drive forward.
Kuan misses with the combination.
Kuan lands a body shot.
Zertiis avoids the body shot from Kuan.
Zertiis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kuan.
Kuan scores with a hook to the body. Zertiis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kuan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Zertiis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zertiis fails to land with a series of punches.
Kuan lands a head kick!

It looks like Desmond Zertiis has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zertiis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kuan but Kuan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kuan connects with a jab.
Kuan lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kuan throws a powerful right kick. Zertiis tried to block low but the kick was high! Zertiis was taken right off of his feet! Kuan jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lu Kuan!
A very excited looking Lu Kuan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
