Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Fredrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredrick comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up. This should be fireworks!

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronald Fredrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Owen!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrick gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Owen moves out of range of the body kick.
Owen feints the counter takedown.
Fredrick doesn't manage to clinch there - Owen circles away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Owen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Owen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fredrick can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Owen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fredrick is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fredrick and Owen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Owen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fredrick has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Owen but great work by Fredrick.
Owen is looking for a sweep.
Fredrick lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Owen down.
Owen is not content to let Fredrick control the position.

Fredrick decides to stand back up.

Owen has his foot on Fredrick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fredrick works his way back into a safe position though.

Owen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fredrick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fredrick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Owen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Fredrick has his hands clasped together but Owen extends and breaks Fredrick's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Owen.
