The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zajcev clinches up with Shepard and pushes him back against the cage.
Shepard is trying to push Zajcev away but Zajcev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Zajcev is looking to take this one to the mat.
Zajcev throws an elbow but it misses.
Zajcev jumps guard but Shepard stands there with Zajcev around his waist. Zajcev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shepard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Zajcev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shepard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Zajcev pushes Shepard off and scrambles back to his feet.
Shepard walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Zajcev! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Adam Zajcev opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
