Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort comes to the cage accompanied by Control by Puddle of Mudd. Hawk has chosen Deadwood as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jordan Belfort could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thomas Hawk's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk is looking to slow Belfort down with leg kicks.
Hawk has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Belfort is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hawk clobbers Belfort with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Jordan Belfort has been cut.
Belfort lands a leg kick that knocks Hawk off balance momentarily.
Hawk throws a hook but Belfort blocks it.
Belfort jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Belfort on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Hawk counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hawk misses with a low kick as Belfort jumps back.
Belfort doesn't manage to clinch there - Hawk circles away.
Jordan Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hawk looking to score a takedown here. Belfort is defending well but Hawk drives through and ends up in Belfort's guard.
Belfort seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Hawk takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Belfort is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawk.
Belfort rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hawk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Belfort is looking to clinch but Hawk is avoiding it.
Hawk throws a shot from downtown. Belfort moves away and avoids it.
Belfort looks for the body kick but Hawk saw that one coming.
Hawk throws an overhand right that lands on Belfort's shoulder, as Belfort tries to avoid the shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hawk, as that shot connected.

Belfort gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Belfort misses with some punches.

Belfort blocks an uppercut.

Belfort blocks a punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hawk creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Belfort tries a body shot but Hawk blocks it.
Hawk blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hawk throws a punch but it's blocked by Belfort.

Hawk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Belfort was well out of range. Poor timing from Hawk.

Belfort throws a looping overhand right but Hawk ducks down to avoid it.
Belfort is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hawk swings for the body but Belfort moves out of range.

and Hawk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Hawk holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Belfort's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Belfort is trying to break free.

Belfort tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Hawk lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hawk blocks an uppercut.
Belfort works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Hawk lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Belfort manages to break the clinch.
Hawk with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Belfort to score with a decent uppercut.
Belfort throws a lazy head kick

and Hawk counters with a series of strikes that sends Belfort to the canvas! Hawk follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!


Belfort is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hawk throws a big right hand that misses.
Oh Belfort is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hawk gets to his feet and stands over Belfort, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Belfort felt that one! Hawk unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Belfort from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Hawk!

Our winner, Thomas Hawk, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
