Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quill Styles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Parker!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker moves in looking to clinch but Styles pushes him off.
It looked like Styles wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Styles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parker, pushing him back against the cage.
Styles takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Quill Styles has been cut.
Parker throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Parker avoids the elbow strike from Styles, against the cage.
Styles controlling the action here for a moment.
Parker misses with a punch to the body.
Parker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Styles blocks an elbow strike.
Styles working aggressively here.
Parker throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Styles wants to break free but Parker has control.
Styles is leaning against Parker and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Styles seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Styles swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Styles throws a hook to the side of Parker's head but Parker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Parker has closed the distance and engaged Styles in a clinch.
Styles swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Parker lands an elbow that stopped Styles in his tracks for a moment.

Parker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Styles's defenses.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Styles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Parker lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Styles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Parker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Parker passes Styles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Styles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Parker is working away from the top position though.
Styles is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Styles's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Styles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Styles avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Parker.

Styles looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Styles tries to roll over but Parker keeps him under control.
Parker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Parker scores with a couple of good hammerfists.


Jeez, Quill Styles's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Quill Styles's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Richard Parker!
Richard Parker seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
