Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor has chosen El Chapo as his entrance music. Dillon Vaughn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dillon Vaughn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conor McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Vaughn appears to be looking for a big counter.
McGregor throws a leg kick but Vaughn moved away.
A head kick misses from McGregor.
Vaughn drops down looking for a counter takedown but McGregor sprawls and moves away.

Vaughn gets caught napping as McGregor dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughn manages to retain guard.
McGregor working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vaughn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Vaughn wants to sweep here but McGregor controlling him for the moment.

McGregor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Vaughn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McGregor wanted to stand there but Vaughn had control of the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGregor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vaughn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McGregor defends well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McGregor passes into half guard.

Vaughn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGregor is working away from the top position though.
Vaughn is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Vaughn is staying active underneath McGregor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McGregor is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

McGregor throwing shots but Vaughn is blocking nicely.

Vaughn is looking for a sweep. McGregor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McGregor has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vaughn can't escape the position.
Vaughn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Vaughn is working hard here to advance position.
McGregor in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vaughn is in all sorts of trouble here.

McGregor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Vaughn is rocked!
McGregor postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Vaughn in real trouble here! The ref calls for Vaughn to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conor McGregor!
After the fight, Conor McGregor was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
