Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josef Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carran Pettigrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettigrew is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by La Marseillaise -Song of France. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hanson is wriggling around but Pettigrew manages to pass to half guard.
Pettigrew is stalling here. Hanson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pettigrew seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hanson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Hanson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pettigrew defends it well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Pettigrew jabs Hanson right on the nose. Hanson blinks but takes it well.
Pettigrew closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Pettigrew pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hanson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pettigrew has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hanson but great work by Pettigrew.

Pettigrew turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hanson off and cradles Pettigrew's limp body as Hanson celebrates with his corner.
