The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allinson moves into the clinch.
Allinson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Poonan in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Poonan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Allinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Allinson pushes Poonan up against the cage in a clinch.
Allinson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Poonan jumps guard but Allinson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Allinson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Poonan backwards.
Poonan is trying to pull guard but Allinson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Leo Allinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sev Poonan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poonan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Allinson manages to break the clinch.
A head kick from Allinson lands but Poonan takes it in his stride.

Allinson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Poonan to the ground. Allinson is now in Poonan's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poonan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allinson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Poonan is tightening it up a little... Allinson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Allinson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Allinson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Poonan!
