Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Flavius Odoacer!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers throws a head kick that misses.
Odoacer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Odoacer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Summers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Summers takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Summers throws out a powerful jab.
Odoacer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Summers. Summers circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Summers slips a jab from Odoacer.
Odoacer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Summers.
Summers tried to score with a low kick but Odoacer checks it.
Odoacer misses the shot to the body.
Summers lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Odoacer thows a left - swing and a miss!
Summers throws a low kick, looking for Odoacer's leg but Odoacer calmly moves out of range.
Odoacer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Summers lands with an uppercut that bounces Odoacer off the cage and back into range.
Odoacer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Summers throws a leg kick which misses Odoacer's front leg but catches the back leg as Odoacer tries to avoid it.

Odoacer fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been told by Summers's head coaches at Mary Gracies Jiu Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Summers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Odoacer misses with a straight right.
Odoacer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Summers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Odoacer digs a good hook to Summers's body.
Odoacer thows a left - swing and a miss!
Summers throws a lazy right hand but Odoacer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Odoacer unleashes a big counter combination but Summers bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A punch lands to the side of Odoacer 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Odoacer tests Summers's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Summers moves out of range as Odoacer strikes.
Summers throws a lazy right hand but Odoacer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Odoacer swings for the body but Summers moves out of range.
Summers scores with a punch to the head.
Summers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Odoacer moves away.
Summers misses with a body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Odoacer misses the target.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Summers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Summers pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Odoacer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Summers walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Odoacer checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Summers takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Summers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Odoacer. That did some damage!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Summers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Summers connects with a body shot that sends Odoacer's belly button to the back.
Odoacer takes a swing at Summers's ribcage but misses.
Summers tried to counter with a leg kick but Odoacer avoided it.
Odoacer throws a body shot but no joy.
Summers looks to land a left hand but Odoacer moved out of range nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Summers will probably get the nod.
That's time! Summers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A little feinted left hand from Summers on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Summers throws a solid leg kick but Odoacer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Summers.
Summers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nice defenses there by Odoacer.
Odoacer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Summers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Nathan Summers tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Flavius Odoacer stepped up to the mic, saying 'Harrumph! A minor setback on my path to the throne.'.
