Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elwood Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Euan McArthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Euan McArthur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black instigates a clinch.
McArthur wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McArthur tries to land knees in the clinch but Black avoids the damage to the body.
Black is trying to break the clinch but McArthur is controlling him.
Black has McArthur pushed against the cage.
Black is trying to push McArthur away but McArthur has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Black wants to break the clinch but can't.
McArthur throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Black blocks it with crossed arms.
Black managing to block the knees to the body from McArthur.

McArthur works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black is trying to control the position but McArthur postures up.
McArthur trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McArthur would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Black manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McArthur manages to get himself to full guard.

McArthur is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Black wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McArthur, who protects the arm well.
Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Black is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down McArthur's shoulder. That is not cool.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A control attempt from McArthur but he's now mounted!

Black looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Black has hold of McArthur's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McArthur manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
McArthur has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

McArthur trying to get back to his feet but Black is in full control for now.

Black is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. McArthur knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften McArthur for a finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Black is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
McArthur trying to control the action but Black just sinks the hooks in.
Black is hanging on to McArthur's back as he tries to escape.
McArthur is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

McArthur shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
McArthur wants to take a breather but Black is having none of it.
McArthur stalling away here and it's allowed Black to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Black is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Black is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McArthur doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Black.
Black is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McArthur can do to turn this around?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Black moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from McArthur.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McArthur can do anything to dispel that myth.

Black has control of McArthur's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McArthur regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Black manages to capitalize on a mistake by McArthur to take his back!
McArthur wants to escape the position.
Black trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure McArthur doesn't escape.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

McArthur gets a double leg takedown into Black's guard.
Black lands some strikes from the bottom.
Black throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

McArthur trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McArthur throws an elbow that misses. Black uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McArthur's guard. Nice move by Black!

McArthur wants to control the position but Black says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Black takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Black. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Black is not going to allow McArthur to sit and survive in this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Black, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
