Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gichin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Michalak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michalak comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tupac - Hail Mary kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stefan Michalak!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funakoshi looks to land a body kick but Michalak moved away.
Michalak has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Funakoshi is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Funakoshi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Michalak's elbow.
Funakoshi goes for a takedown attempt but Michalak pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Funakoshi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Michalak has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Michalak and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round but I would say that Gichin Funakoshi will probably get the nod.
