And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noam Chomsky!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dufva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chomsky keeping control of the position.
Chomsky trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chomsky is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dufva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dufva throwing strikes here but Chomsky is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Chomsky wants to control but Dufva is having none of it.
Dufva is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Dufva is landing with some decent strikes but Chomsky is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

A big strike lands for Dufva! That's really hurt Chomsky and he's turned his back - Dufva keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Dufva jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sven Dufva!

Our winner, Sven Dufva, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Noam Chomsky stepped up to the mic, saying 'If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all.'.
