The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan fails to land the takedown.
Martinez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ryan manages to circle out of the way.

Ryan moves into range and clinches up with Martinez.
Martinez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Martinez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martinez has his foot on Ryan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ryan works his way back into a safe position though.

Ryan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Martinez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ryan walks away with a smile on his face. Martinez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
