The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pettis cracks Vaughn with a right hand to the side of the head.
Pettis clinches up with Vaughn and pushes him back against the cage.
Vaughn wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pettis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pettis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vaughn was well out of range. Poor timing from Pettis.
Vaughn half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Pettis rushes Vaughn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pettis scores with a hook to the body.
Pettis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Vaughn gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pettis is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Vaughn has latched onto it... Big trouble! Vaughn pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Pettis is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Vaughn!
