Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gates cracks Asos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Asos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Asos tries to counter with a clinch but Gates shakes him off and moves away.
Gates throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Asos steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Gates.
Gates drops Asos with a left right combo! Gates follows him down to the ground into side control.
Asos is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Asos is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Asos is still in real trouble! Can Gates finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A control attempt from Asos but he's now mounted!
Asos seems to have recovered his senses.
Gates sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gates has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Gates cracks Asos with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Gates with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Gates wants to take Asos's back here but Asos is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Asos's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Gates won't let Asos get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Gates is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Asos is forced to tap! Great finish!
