PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Fellows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fellows comes to the cage accompanied by Last day - Raised fist. Adam Holt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Holt!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fellows at a distance.
Fellows looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Holt digs a good hook to Fellows's body.
Fellows shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holt as he avoids it easily.
It seemed like Holt was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Fellows blocks the body kick.
Fellows attempts a counter takedown but Holt avoids it well and moves away.

Holt pushes Fellows up against the cage in a clinch.

Holt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Holt.
Fellows feinted with a counter takedown.
Holt throws a series of strikes that have Fellows backpedaling.

Holt closes the distance and pushes Fellows back into the cage.

Holt pulls guard successfully.

Fellows wants to stand but Holt is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fellows stops Holt from standing up.

Holt looking for a sweep. Not yet Holt, not yet.
Fellows being controlled here momentarily.
Holt doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Fellows looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Holt has managed to clinch.
Holt lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Fellows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Holt breaks the clinch.
Holt throws a head kick but Fellows moves out of range.
Holt misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fellows moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fellows is defended easily by Holt.
Holt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Adam Holt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Holt gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fellows tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Fellows. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Holt.

Holt jumps guard and drags Fellows to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Holt wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Holt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Holt manages to break the clinch.
Holt lands a jab.
Holt cracks Fellows with a right hand to the side of the head.
Holt moves into range and connects with a jab.

Holt has closed the distance and engaged Fellows in a clinch.
Fellows managing to block the knees to the body from Holt.

Holt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheers as Holt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fellows doesn't seem phased though.
Fellows walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fellows throws a series of punches but Holt moves out of range.
Holt lands a nice hook to Fellows's body. Fellows takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Holt catches Fellows with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Holt clinches.

Holt drags the fight down to the ground.

Holt pushes Fellows off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Holt scores with a jab to the head.
Holt throws a nice looking combination but Fellows bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fellows is rocked!
A lazy left from Holt finds it's target.
Oh Fellows is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holt throws a head kick that misses.
Holt has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Holt digs a good body shot into Fellows's ribs.
Holt lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Fellows goes down and covers up as Holt starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Holt!
A relieved looking Adam Holt thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Bryce Fellows spoke after the fight, saying 'I really ate dick out here. I'll be back stronger...and with no dick in my mouth.'.
