The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorr gets a clinch.
Katasonov lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Thorr tries to break the clinch but Katasonov is controlling the position.
Thorr goes for a takedown in the clinch but Katasonov prevents it.
Thorr wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Katasonov has him pressed against the cage.
Katasonov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Thorr backwards.
Thorr wants a takedown.
Katasonov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Thorr.
Pavel Katasonov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valiant Thorr.
Katasonov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Thorr backwards.
Thorr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Katasonov smiles and moves away.
Katasonov lands a big uppercut and Thorr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thorr looks OK.
Thorr is rocked!
It looks like Valiant Thorr has been cut.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Katasonov wants to stand up but Thorr has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Thorr is still in real trouble! Can Katasonov finish him?
Katasonov decides to stand up.
Katasonov scores with a nice body kick.
Thorr seems to have recovered his senses.
Thorr looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thorr looks up at the clock. Bad move! Katasonov lands a right hand from hell, dropping Thorr. Katasonov pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pavel Katasonov!
