Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredrick Eisenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Carlyle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Carlyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fredrick Eisenberg!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlyle throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Eisenberg on the side of the head.

Carlyle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eisenberg was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlyle finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Carlyle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Eisenberg's head.

Eisenberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carlyle defends it easily.

Carlyle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Eisenberg manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carlyle has Eisenberg in his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carlyle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eisenberg's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eisenberg seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Carlyle looks up at the clock and then as Eisenberg takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Carlyle smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Carlyle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eisenberg, who protects the arm well.
Eisenberg manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Carlyle wants to control but Eisenberg is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carlyle is not content to let Eisenberg control the position.

Carlyle wants to work for an arm triangle but Eisenberg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Carlyle is nestled in close to Eisenberg, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Eisenberg looks to land a left hand but Carlyle moved out of range nicely.

Carlyle shoots in for a double leg but Eisenberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Carlyle goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Eisenberg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Eisenberg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carlyle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Eisenberg connects with a looping right hand.
Eisenberg tries to clinch up.
Carlyle looks to score with a jab to the body but Eisenberg is just out of range.

Carlyle tries a head kick but it misses.

Carlyle manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Eisenberg on his heels. He'll look to pass Eisenberg's guard now, I'm sure.

Carlyle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eisenberg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carlyle has managed to get both his arms back between Eisenberg's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carlyle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
